Some things about myself are:
I have been married 22 years and I'm the mother of 5 children. I grew up in Connecticut and moved to Arizona in 1977. I currently live in Mesa. My favorite thing to do is snuggle up with a book on a rainy day! I enjoy swimming, walking, cooking, and camping. I love to travel and experience different cultures and customs. I enjoy learning and writing, and always seek opportunities to work with others on projects that lead to improvement of the self and the community in which we live.
Goal:
My goal this year is to learn about the staff, the students, and the parents of the Laguna community.
I believe that everyone has untapped potential that is waiting to be discovered. I believe that it is my role to provide the opportunity, support and motivation that is conclusive in allowing people to aspire to be all they wish to be, and more.

About me:
I’m excited to be the Assistant Principal at Laguna Elementary. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, I taught a variety of grades including 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. In the 2002-2003 school year, I had the honor of being named “Teacher of the Year” at my school.
On a personal level, I’ve been married to my husband, Tom, for 29 years. We have two wonderful children, Emily and Jim. My hobbies include reading, hiking, and cooking. I've had the opportunity to travel to 13 different countries on four continents and experience many different cultures.
Goal:
I hope to inspire children to become lifelong learners and to make a positive contribution to our society.
